We looked at a house on Cheshire Bridge Road back in the 70's which backed up on Peachtree Creek. The back yard looked like it spent a lot of time under water. The basement had a high water mark about three feet from the floor. The agent had a map which he swore showed that the lot wasn't in the flood plain or whatever they called it. This was in the days when ever it rained Peachtree Creek and that other one (I'm many years away from Atlanta news) flooded.
