In the 90's i worked for a major corporation that, under pressure from 'reverend' jackson and the rainbow coalition, was forced to focus on getting 'diversity' into middle and upper management. What a catastrophe. Flair for the obvious file: hiring/advancing folks based on exteriors like race, gender dysphoria, proclivity for perversion, or gender-rather than skill, talent, experience and hard work-never yields good fruit. Never.
