Not really sure why folks are siding with the THEFT of another nation's money? Those billions were NOT stolen from US taxpayers like the hundreds and hundreds of billions that are stolen every year to fund Israel and Ukraine. Those are monies earned in the voluntary exchange market of oil sales. Say what you want about Iran or their behavior on the global stage (and then let's talk about Israel and Ukraine to be balanced), the act of seizing another nation's money/property, etc. is an act of war by any definition. That Iran wanted nuclear weapons under the NPT that THEY SIGNED but ISRAEL HAS NEVER SIGNED, is perfectly fine according to the treaty. And given the fact that Israel clearly wants them gone, is in possession of hundreds or possibly thousands of nukes (they will NEVER admit even having one), and given that Iran is now surrounded by US military bases, who can honestly blame them for wanting sound defense? Just look at how quickly N. Korea came off the "next to be destroyed list" as soon as they got a nuke. No, not an endorsement of the Ayatollahs, just an acknowledgement that folks seem to like to ignore the history of US meddling in Iran beginning with the CIA COUP in 1953 that put the brutal SHAH in power, or like to pretend that international agreements the US signed, NEVER have to be followed, while everyone else gets them applied in fashions that have NOTHING to do with the terms of the treaties.
