The cargo ship in The Usual Suspects is a former U.S. Navy minesweeper named the USS Tanager (AM-385). Kobayashi Maru is originally from Star Trek II Wrath of Khan. Usual Suspects had the lawyer Mr. Kobayashi who got his name from a coffee mug.
Indeed! Guess I "didn't know."
They are in Gamma Hydra Section 10 and have struck a gravitic mine.
